Mr Pantelis Tsantanis is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at MUMS (Midlands Ultrasound and Medical Services) in Solihull. He specialises in the treatment of rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, shoulder and elbow arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapment, ruptured shoulder.
 
Upon qualifying from the University of Patras, Greece in 2010, Mr Tsantanis came to the UK for training, gaining experience in hospitals across Bedford, Liverpool, and Cambridge, before settling in the West Midlands, where he completed his higher surgical orthopaedic training. In 2018, he was selected for a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He has done further senior clinical fellowships in trauma and orthopaedics with the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital and Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trusts, honing his aptitude in trauma surgery, clinical governance, and the upper extremities.
 
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Tsantanis is actively engaged in research and medical education. He is the associate Principal Investigator for a national, multicentre research project on distal clavicle fractures, has several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented his work as an invited speaker at conferences internationally, such as in Greece and Egypt. He is a clinical examiner for the OSCE at the University of Birmingham, and he has also organised local teaching courses for medical students and trainees, augmented by his postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Warwick. Mr Tsantanis is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor and the head of surgical hands-on training for the Greek Association for Global Surgery. He has served at the team orthopaedic surgeon for the City of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Club and as match doctor for the Midlands Hurricanes Rugby League Football Club.
